In honor of International Literacy Day, junomagic of the Henneth-Annun archive suggested an alphabet themed drabble. The first letter and the last letter of the drabble must be the same letter.

Since I still recall the wonder I felt when I realized that I could read, I came up with one of my own today, using the letter E.
